Day 26: Goreme, Turkey - In a Hot Air Balloon Over Cappadocia

The 16 year old Dutch kid is wise beyond his years. One of the more special activities here is riding in a hot air balloon to see the landscape. It's not cheap, obviously, and I wasn't sure if I was willing to splurge on it. Bastian, however, helped me decide rather simply. He said, "Is riding in a hot air balloon something you ever want to do? To which I responded, "Well, yeah, I suppose before I die I would like to." He answered, "Then you might as well do it here." Done.

I was scheduled to ride the balloon while the sun rises (getting really good at doing stuff at sunrise). I did. After we landed, we had champagne. I'd write more, but I think I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
